Great posters. I own a few like the creature and just purchased the Dracula poster at auction; it belonged to actor Nicolas Cage! Keep up the good posts, its nice to see someone blogging about vintage movie posters.

I agree. In going with what Daniel was saying, I think the overall lack of luster is part of the sell.

While I was flipping through some flickr photos for this post, I did find some posters that kept their original colors. They didn’t appeal to me as much, because the trends were…. ehhhhh.

haha, they are great. It seems that the faded, comic book look was in for the theme of scary movies. That look is scary in itself so I guess it worked. Just goes to show how popular trends spawn from one to the other and how things progress so much over time. Thanks
