17 Action Packed Single Page Sites

One Page Sites
This isn’t just an exercise in minimalism, it’s a showcase of effective use of space. These sites only need is one page to spread their message.

Below the fold content, and the scrolling involved with it isn’t a hassle on the sites below. Smooth scrolling through the use of javascript libraries is common to keep things fluid when navigating.

Sure, they’re all lovely designs… but most of them behave the same way. Single page designs don’t have to be limited to vertical movement.

    That’s true Chris.
Here’s a link to the portfolio of a colleague of mine that is single paged and uses horizontal movement. I really like the idea.

Single-paged sites are interesting; they always gave me a little bit of a challenge organiztionally simply because it limits the designer to putting the message into one short sentence- essentially like writing the synopsis on the back of a book (only slightly less ambiguous – as I’ve always found synopses to be somewhat vague). They’re flexible, yet at the same time, interesting and fun to do, in a way.

Note: there’s a link glitch. Veebo Labs’s graphic goes to Edit-Studio.

I must admit, I was pretty skeptical of this when I started reading the post. But this turned out to be extremely creative stuff. And I agree with Melody: We Bleed Design is a complete mind-blower!
