Good to highlight the design inspiration that you can get from non-traditional areas. Colors and shapes in natural landscape can give you loads of material for design, and I love how you’ve focused on a very specific topic. Just “natural landscape” is too all encompassing, but “Cliffs and Islands” is a great focus.
…though the joke was lame!
As a thought for a future color inspiration – “Sporting victor and defeat”. I find sports photography often has great contrasts of color and light, and there’s some excellent, vibrant imagery in the agony of wins and losses, whether on a professional level or at the local amateur event.

Love the post! I saw another one about using nature to pick color schemes but I forgot who’s blog it was on. Definitely going to use this technique on my new clients site.
