I agree with your points as well. We see this time and time again, clients that were not given the service they needed. I believe it is a great practice to provide customer service, but not when you have to take a loss. Great post!

i agree with you whole heartly. I’m having the same problem now. My sales team are selling cheaply and giving discounts. They also throw in freebies that is eating our cost. In the end the bottom line is bad and as you have mentioned some of them won’t remember the discount they had. What you suggedst is a better idea “offer more in terms of execution, attention to detail, and quality assurance”

Hi Zach. A nicely written article here that makes sense and I totally agree with you. Like you I have also had to ‘fix what the other guy did’ on numerous occasions and I have come to understand (as you stated) that this really is what people prefer to offering freebies.
